Syndicate become ISO accredited
Syndicate Communications have successfully gained accreditation in the following;

•    ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
•    ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
•    AZ/NZS 4801 Safety Management Systems

The audit process has now been successfully completed and Syndicate have received ISO accreditation in the above competencies. This is part of Syndicate’s ongoing commitment to our clients, our staff and the environment. Greg Bourke, company OH&S representative comments “Although we had most of these systems already in place, we decided it was time to go the next step to ensure we have consistency Australia wide. With the help of the consultants, we have formalized and refined our current company documentation and procedures. The implementation process has been surprisingly easy, and we now look forward to completing the external audits”

Microsoft choose Syndicate
Syndicate has been chosen to complete the data cable installation at the new Microsoft Offices in North Ryde, NSW. Syndicate’s involvement in the project started in September 2010 and has a team of 4-5 staff working full time at the site. The work is due for completion in May 2011.

Syndicate continues to go green!
In order to reduce our carbon footprint, Syndicate have for many years been leading the way by recycling cable, steel, copper, cardboard and paper. In addition to this, we are continually working on ways to cut our energy consumption and reduce our emissions. Last year we cut our lighting consumption by 50% in the Melbourne office. The next project for us in 2011 will involve the installation skylights in the Sydney offices, with the aim of further reducing our energy consumption.

WA office open
After 5 years of regularly working in Western Australia, Syndicate have gone the next step and set up an office in Bibra Lake, 20 minutes south of Perth CBD. The office was opened in October 2010 with the aim of better servicing our existing clientele, as well as expanding the business into other areas in WA. The move allows us to now not only carry out our usual project work in Perth, but to also offer emergency callouts and day to day service work.

NBN preparations
Syndicate Communications are currently making preparations for the government’s upcoming NBN or “National Broadband Rollout” in Australia. Being one of Australia’s leading companies in the key area of the exchange design and construction, Syndicate are well suited to undertake specialized work associated with NBN rollout. We are currently hiring and training more staff in preparation for when the rollout enters the full design and construction phase. In late 2010, Syndicate held an NBN Strategy seminar in Sydney, flying in all our state and project managers from around the country. As part of the seminar, we engaged NBN consultants and ran a training course on the NBN network architecture, the various technologies and equipment that will be used to construct the network. In most instances we are already working with these technologies and equipment, or very similar. We believe we are well prepared, and look forward to becoming a part of this exciting project.
